Marla's Visit

The one and only gorgeous Marla Jo Sanvick came to visit this past weekend. We had a most wonderful time exploring Portland and the lovely Oregon coast. Marla enjoys a cup of joe here, which she bought here. Other Marla favorites offered here in Portland include: this bread, this pizza, and this place for a cocktail.

We all very much enjoyed the Tillamook Cheese Factory.

We watched as the huge blocks of cheese were cut into smaller and smaller rectangles, packaged and sent out the hatch. We all agreed that we would not like to have to sweep up the cheese that fell on the floor as that would be particularly sticky. Shown here is the Cheddar Room.

Not only showcasing cheese, Marla found some jerky. She and Jason discovered a mutual fondness and ate lots of jerky.

Ezra jumped on the jerky wagon too.

Cheese, jerky and ice cream, and sunshine made for a perfect day at the cheese factory!

This photo was taken at the Portland City Grill. Marla and I went there to have a nice dinner, thinking Ezra would sleep through it as he was well overdue for a nap. He did not sleep however, and became increasingly insane. We had some cocktails and then decided we would not be able to enjoy dinner so we split. Can you see the insanity in his eyes? In mine?

Here's in the elevator on the way down. Sit in the chair Bunsy Boy.

Ah there that's better. Here we went to the soaking pool, a neighborhood outdoor hot tub.
This was a very good idea.

Little love muffin.

We were prunes by the end of it.

Our final stop was Manzanita, an adorable little town on the Oregon coast. We spent the night in this hotel, and Marla and Jason cooked up some fresh crab and shrimp for dinner! We played Trivial Pursuit late into the night, and I am happy to report that I won!

Thanks for coming to visit, Marla! We love you, even though we scream sometimes.
