Here's how boring the situation looked on Friday night.
Then something happened!
Before we knew it the eggs were all over the yard and the boys were eagerly seeking them out. Here Usiah locates the first Easter egg. We only had to help him a little bit.
Ezra on the other hand needed a bit more help. As he prefers to be carried, our good friend Michael acted as his escort. Together they found 3 eggs! Ezra immediately threw the eggs onto the (luckily) soft grass. The boys had so much fun doing the egg hunt that once they found them all we hid them again!
We had an Easter brunch at our house today and it was a great success. I made a lovely quiche, as well as a cinnamon roll pizza (so good!). Kate made an arugula salad with beets and carrots that was amazing (she is a fabulous cook). On top of that we had sparkling apple cider, fresh bread, delicious cheeses, and fantastic company. People trickled in all day, the food held out, and Ezra had SO much fun. I did too. I love not leaving the house but still getting to see so many friends. I have to work tomorrow (Sunday, Easter) so that's why we had it a day early.
I hope you all have a lovely holiday!
