Yachats La De Da

Kate, Usiah, Ezra and I headed west this past weekend to visit some friends on the Oregon coast in Yachats (pronounced Ya-hots). The boys had a great time together and we even got a gorgeous day by the ocean!

The Oregon coast has a great deal of tide pooling opportunities. We saw many sea stars, urchins, and sea anenomes.

The boys were most interested in throwing rocks into the ocean. For hours. Which was fine because like I said it was an absolutely gorgeous day.

Usually a day at the coast is dreary, cold, and windy. This was truly special.

I capture Kate capturing Usiah.

Later we found ladybugs in a flower garden.

This beach was called Strawberry Hill and was abound with agates and other such treasure.

For breakfast we went out to the Green Salmon and Usiah insisted on getting this maple bar that is bigger than his head.

Here's the after shot. Notice the frosting beard and the crazed sugar look in his eyes.

Ezra did pretty good on his orange honey bun.

Here's a short video of the boys discussing life on Tara's popazon in Yachats.
