Little Buffalo

Tis the season to carve the pumpkin. This guy is our new security, he sits on the deck and deters evil doers with his crooked grin. Here we see he is equally pleasing from the behind:

I am pretty sure Ezra Diego will be a lion for Halloween. I don't think we'll be doing any trick or treating (I don't want all that crappy candy) but something festive will occur. Here's a shot of the lion suit, although I think he looks more like a buffalo. Do you agree?

As I said, requests are welcome, and Howard put in a word that he'd like to see more of Nate's short films. I don't know how I missed this one on the camera before, it is quite essential to the plot of the other three. For those faithful readers, here's your pay off:

Here's the Buffalo, in action:

P.S. The first tooth has broken through! Bottom right folks.

Request Line

We are currently taking requests for the blog! Auntie Raia and Uncle Jeff have requested videos, and I grant their wishes here. The first snippet shows how much our little darling loves lunch time. He reminds me of Augustus Gloop, in the most adorable way.

Next up, we show off Pumpky's new sweater. I forgot to not shoot it the vertical way, so unfortunately you'll have to crane your neck (or tip the computer).

What follows is a short film that my highly creative brother Nate made with his friend. It remains on the camera and since I'm on a roll I thought we might as well share this too.
(Hope you don't mind, bro.)

Hay Ride, Hoe Down

This evening we had a fabulous time with friends. First we went to the farm out on Sauvie's Island and took the hay ride out o the pumpkin patch where we found ourselves a six pounder. We went with Kate and Usiah and we were both gushing about how many pumpkins we were going to get, she was going to get 4 and I was thinking 3. Than we realized that we were two women with two babies who would probably have our work cut out for us with one pumpkin a piece. Here's a shot from the hayride. Ezra liked to grab the hay. I did my best to intercept before the hay entered his mouth.

Then Michael, Julie and Chiaki showed up and Chiaki had her first caramel apple! The verdict: delicious.

There was a great rockabilly band playing and I danced with Bunson and he loved it. Then he spent some dude time with Michael. Here they are all blissed out in dudeness.

It was a fantastic evening. I have been study study study lately so it was nice to go out and have some fun. Both of my classes have tests this week, one Tuesday and one Thursday and I really want an A++ so I have been passing Tumpky around to whomever will play with him and getting into my Geology. I am really enjoying these classes. It would be so awesome if I were a Geologist... we'll see how I do on the tests.

So here's some random shots from the past week.

Can you guess who that gorilla bobbing for apples is?

Why of course, it's Usiah!

My dear Mother sent the boys these hats. Here they model on the loveseat.

And here they have a contest to see who is weirder.
I'm not sure who won.

P.S. I got my hair cut. It's a mullet. A fashion mullet. The irony of it all.

VOTE FOR BUNSY!

I entered Pumpky into a photo contest and the prize is some $2,500 for the picture with the most votes. You can practice voting for the upcoming election!

Here is the address to cast your vote today (multiple times):

First Date

This happened a few weeks ago, but I just got these pictures. Ezra and I had a double date with Yola and Dovie. I think my little bruiser has finally met his match. Here they find a common interest in sucking on plastic lids.

He likes an older woman, Dovie is 10.5 months old. He's usually on top of his snatch but she got both lids from his grubby hands.

I regulate (cheat and give Bunsy back his lid).

After all I'm still his number one gal.
Like my mother says, You always wanted to have a man in your life, you just didn't realize he would be so small.

Happy Days

We have been running around doing so much I can't put it into words. Photos will have to do! In this first one Ezra tries on his new monster suit. Unfortunately it's too small and scratchy for daily use.

Here we have a gorgeous day at the Oregon coast. Eva, Julie, Chiaki, Ezra and I all went to the beach for a picnic and enjoyed the most beautiful weather I have ever known on the shore.

Ezra got some one on one time with Chiaki. He is trying to look so tough but all it takes is some tickling from Julie...

And a plastic spoon. She knows just where to kiss the little love bundle.

Ezra is not so into this one.

He likes to stand on my stomach so I snapped this one real quick like.

Taken this morning in his new outfit. I started working at the toy/clothing store and couldn't resist this little ensemble. The shirt is 100% organic cotton and the bell bottom courderoy pants were made locally by the very talented owner of the store. Her name is Kara, the store is Grasshopper.

We went over to Gabe and Koali's house for lunch. Here they sample a cookie.

After lunch I went to a cafe to study and Gabe and Koali took Ezra to an apple festival where they tasted more than 40 varieties!

Ezra having some male bonding time.

International Infant

I am happy to report Ezra is feeling much better these days and enjoying a new wide range cuisine as of his 7 month birthday. The items he is able to eat went from 4 (bananas, pears, apples, rice cereal) to 15! This evening he had sweet potatoes, tomorrow avocado. He gobbles it up, surprise surprise.
Me? Oh I'm fine, the weather here is getting very cool and I am not into it. Last night it took an hour for my feet to melt from ice cube status, even under my down comforter. And then right when they had somebody woke up at all hours of the night and wanted to be walked around. I am so glad he doesn't do that every night. I don't think I would be as in love.
Today I turned in the application for Ezra's passport. $85 later it should be here in a month. I guess it's good for 5 years. He looks like a little convict in the picture. Now I need to get airfare to Guatemala. Daddy-o sent us some money. Anybody want to join us? I think we'll go in January for a few weeks.
Let me know.
Here is a better video that I shot today of the boys over at Kate's house.

Bouncing Bunsy with Special Guest

I got batteries for the camera and promptly shot this short video of a common scene over at Kate and Usiah's house. Enjoy! Sorry about the neck crane.

Little Lion

Here is Bunny at the beach with Uncle Gabers. He likes the scratchy face and his new lion suit. Many people like his new lion suit. I will post a better picture to show it off soon. I do have that camera of my brother's but the batteries have been testy. Rechargables, mah.

Well, Ezra is a little sick I am sad to report. Tumpky Wumpky my poor Pumpky. He's got a fever tonight and he had one last night too. 100.4 degrees, which I have read is not cause for serious alarm. If it persists tomorrow I will look into a doctor visit or perhaps some ibuprophan.

The reason for his illness? Freaking wedding. Or should I say commitment ceremony. My friend had her wedding this past weekend and it involved an hour hike at 7 am Sunday morning. I had to wake Bunny up (a funny twist) and packed him in on my back. The hike ended at a river where then we got the surprise that they wanted us all to stand in the FREEZING river, holding hands in a circle around the love birds while they said their vows. Needless to say it chilled my bones for the rest of the day and must have spread to Sweetie Pie. After we got back from the river (I will say the hike was beautiful) we had a small window of time to change into reception clothes. Then off to a park across town by way of the light rail and another hike up a hill, all in the rain. I'm complaining, that's right. I was so exhausted the whole thing was a delirium. It was what they wanted and that's fine, but trust me, if I ever get hitched, we'll all take it easy. If we stand in water it will be a tropical lagoon. Or bubbly hot springs.

No more extreem weddings for me. Just hold on to that invitation for Antartic I dos.
