Fairy House
Now the Florida Fairies have somewhere to rest here in Venice.
It was a fun project that we took seriously.
The interior.
The roof served as an attractive hat.

Kiwi Crate #2: Underwater Fun!
We got the second Kiwi Crate in the mail yesterday! (Remember the Solar System Mobile??) This one had an underwater theme and had two projects. The first was making a fun fishing game. First we colored the creatures and shapes.
Then we made fishing poles with thin poles, stings, pipe cleaners, and velcro dots. We put velcro dots on the critters to catch as well and check out what we caught!
A unicorn!
A crab!
An eyeball!
(Among other things...)
The next activity was an experiment of the difference of freshwater and salt water. We had two cups of water and Ezra stirred a considerably amount of salt into one of them.
He then placed a variety of objects in both glasses and observed as some sank in the freshwater but floated in the salt water.
The he put a whole bunch of stuff in both glasses and found that even floating things will sink if you place enough other objects on top of them.
I think his favorite part of this experiment was pouring the water. He poured again...
Again...
And again...
Thanks for the continued fun Aunt, Uncle, and Cuz! Can't wait for the next one...

Artist Swoons at Springs
He starts by drawing a giraffe...
Continues by swooning this Russian beauty...
Then rounds out the afternoon at the Warm Mineral Springs with a Florida Leatherback Soft Body turtle sighting.
On the way home he found inspiration once again. This is a drawing of buttons, and when he pushes any one of them, the car turns into any variety of things including a helicopter, boat, or hovercraft (pronounced "hovercwaft").

Warm Mineral Springs
Ezra, Grandma and I went to the lovely, peaceful Warm Mineral Springs in North Port, Florida the other Saturday. It is supposedly the "Fountain of Youth". I don't know about that, but the water felt great. It was also quite an interesting mix of people, mostly Eastern Europeans with large sun hats and dark lipstick speaking in their aggressive sounding tongues. Ezra loved it. Swimming was slightly easier for him as the mineral water made him more buoyent. He brought one of his inflatable dinosaurs. It was perfect.
We brought this lovely quilt and weren't even attacked by fire ants.
We also drank a delicious smoothie and a beet, ginger, wheatgrass, garlic drink that left me feeling Healthy with a capital H.
Ezra and Grandma relaxing, and wait, he's smiling! He never smiles for pictures! There must be something funny going on here...
Oh it's because he thinks it's hilarious to put string cheese on his head.
It was a calming day.
On the ride home Ezra dabbled in photography and surprise! He also likes to take pictures of his feet.
